Dublin, Ireland | Grafton St Group collection as part of the Canada Goose Art Programme, Curated by NAMARAShadow Integration as a delicate digital folding. The world swirls around the conscious persona. But here we are, gazing into the gray, not in it but with it. Witnessing the surplus of reality that resists.
The Dublin collection celebrates Jubilation, centering on Inuit art that explores transformation and joy. On the ground floor, contemporary works depict mythical water creatures, with artists reimagining the anatomy of fish and birds. These bold, experimental forms are anchored by Oolosie Saila’s landscapes, offering a sense of place and connection. Nearby, Alex Fischer’s lightbox installation, Portal, amplifies the surrounding palette and form, creating an engaging, immersive experience.
As visitors ascend, they encounter silk-screened tapestries, specially created for Dublin, that transform traditional methods into bold celebrations of pattern and color. The upper level also features carvings and drawings of transformation stories and impossible creatures, their softer palettes balancing the vibrant energy of the ground floor. Among these works are two commissioned textiles: Quvianaqtuk Pudlat’s thoughtful repetition of form conveys rhythm and harmony, while Ning Teevee’s playful designs bring humor and compassion. Together, these pieces highlight Inuit art’s rich heritage and modern innovations, celebrating its deep cultural narratives of joy and ingenuity.
